Message by the founder of forward

Pioneer of Private Education sector in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Professor M Shafi Sabir (Late) established Forward School and College in 1950 in Peshawar. He worked as renowned journalist in Khyber Mail and Daily Shahbaz (Pashto/Urdu). Professor Shafi Sabir was an eminent writer and editor of Humdum and Tarjuman-e-Sarhad. He broadcasted many religious and historical programmes on PTV and Radio. Professor Shafi Sabir has penned many dramas, winning the Best Drama Writer award for Firdous. He collectively wrote 12 booksincluding 2 travelogues Safar Nama-e-Haj-o-Ziarat and Iran aik Pakistani siyah ki nazar mein, 2 English books Story of Khyber and Pakistan Culture, People and Places, 8 other books titled as Hayat-e-Muhammad Mustafa (SAW), Tareekh-e-Soba Sarhad, Shakhsiyat-e-Sarhad, Quaid-e-Azam aur Soba Sarhad, Dastan-e-Khyber, Bahadur Shah Zafar, Hayat-e-Pir Baba and Sarfroshan-e-Sarhad. Many of his books won Civil Literary Awards and proved to be best reference books for the students of History and Urdu in their thesis work. Through his affiliation with Hamdard Thinkers Forum (Sham-e-Hamdard), Abasyn Arts Council and Pakistan Writers Guild. He contributed fundamental literary services. He Served as a prominent member in University of Peshawar’s Academic Council, Vice President of Abasyn Arts Council, President of Private Educational Institutions Management Association, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He was the General Secretary of Motamar-Al-Alam-Al-Islam (World Muslim Congress), Majlis-e-Seerat-un-Nabi (SAW), Pakistan Muslim League Peace Committee Sunehri Masjid Peshawar. Professor M Shafi Sabir (Late) Contributed a lot for the society and people of the region which has no parallel. He has flourished an outstanding impression on his followers and common person homogeneously. However his major endowment is enlightening the people since decades through Educational Intuitions and aim to continue this noble task for generations to come.
